Maison Margiela’s bags epitomise the nonconformity at the heart of the house. Designed by Creative Director John Galliano, the genderless proposals subvert the memories of classic ladies’ handbags and evocative silhouettes in the creation of new shapes and proportions. Distinguishable by their singular form language, styles such as the Glam Slam, the Snatched, the 5AC and the New Lock are contemporary icons in the fashion landscape. Crafted in leather or mixed materials, they evolve seasonally alongside new propositions expressed in mini and micro bags including evening bags, clutches and chain bags. For daytime, tote bags, bucket bags, shoulder bags and crossbody bags are offered alongside shoppers, backpacks and messengers.
